DEMARCHIS SERGISON LIGHTING IS AN ARTFORM AT THE GALLERIES

Buckinghamshire based Demarchis Sergison Lighting Design+ have designed the lighting scheme and specified products for major conversion project, The Galleries, the former Warley Hospital in Brentwood, Essex.

Appointed by Architects, Brewster Bye of Leeds and their client, conversion specialists City and Country Group, Demarchis Sergison have completed the lighting for Phase 1 of the grade II listed Victorian building, consisting of 13 luxury apartments, infrastructure and external lighting.

Piero De Marchis, principal designer at De Marchis Sergison, said: “The facade lighting was a key element of the scheme and we sensitively highlighted the main architectural features of this imposing building. The façade is switched in various circuits to assist control of the lighting and aid energy efficiency.”

City and Country Group Pr & Marketing Manager, Jo Ridehalgh added: “City and Country are pleased with the overall result of the lighting design and it’s success in highlighting some of the more spectacular historical features of this magnificent building.”

Fixtures used in the scheme were required to meet Part L of the Building Regulations for energy compliance, whilst remaining stylish and in keeping with the building’s architectural features.

With a number of years experience, De Marchis Sergison Lighting Design+ specialise in residential and commercial projects, with a professional attitude to client requirement and offering hands-on project management.
